Jim Hanas is a writer and publishing strategist in Brooklyn. He spent twelve years at HarperCollins, most recently as VP of Central Marketing & Strategy.

His novel, Lou Reed’s Nephew, is coming from Coffee House Press in Fall 2027. He is the author of the story collection Why They Cried, and he writes regularly about books, art, and culture at 3 Quarks Daily and on his Substack.
